Rifugio Fronza alle Coronelle is situated at 2,337 m in altitude, in the foothills of the Catinaccio, in a stunning panoramic position: stretching from Latemar to Corno Bianco and Corno Nero, from the Brenta-Cevedale Group to the Ortles and from the Vetta d’Italia to the Swiss and Austrian Alps.
It has a restaurant, bar, panoramic terrace, sun terrace and 60 beds.
The manager, Pier Paolo, and his family invite you relax and share this natural wonder. Whether experienced at sunrise or sunset: it is a sight that will touch your soul!
Its position is fairly manageable by chairlift and an ideal starting point for via ferrata (iron rope path) excursions and hiking.
Home-cooked food is available.
A warm and friendly welcome.
The refuge can be reached from the Bolzano Nord motorway exit through the Val d'Ega. Before reaching the Costalunga pass, turn left onto the Nigra Pass up to the Frommer hut.
