Campitello di Fassa – Prà Molin – Micheluzzi hut – Duron Valley

You exit Campitello via Strèda de Morandin and Strèda de Col de Faè; then quickly climb above the inhabited large area.

You cross it on a comfortable grassy road where flat and sleep stretches alternate.

Then you enter definitely into the deep forest covering the slopes of Mount Ponjin. The path becomes steeper but also here the flat and the sleep are cleverly shifted allowing you to catch your breath. The wide field of Pra Molin comes to the edge of a small plateau over Val Duron. You will then go through a magnificent and open high altitude forest where the majestic pine prevails.

You enter the pasture at the Ciampiè area and then descend to the Micheluzzi refuge after crossing the ruf de Duron.

To return to Campitello (and to avoid the dirty of the vehicles going back to the valley) we suggest to cross the rio and to take a nice trail with tables and benches. It’s first flat then becomes steeper to get on the Val Duron road at Pozates, where the restaurant Baita Fraines is located, halfway between the Micheluzzi and Campitello.

Note: useful telescopic sticks especially for downhill.
