From Fiè little pond to the Cavone-Tschafon hut

A pleasant excursion to Monte Cavone starts at the small FIè lake at the foot of the Sciliar.

A large shaded parking is available just a few steps from the lake. From here, take path n.1 in the direction of Malga Tuff and Malga Hofer and then continue along path n.7 which runs alongside the side of Croda del Maglio. The path n.7B leads, after a total of 3 and a half hours of walking to the Monte Cavone refuge.

Fresh dishes such as salads from the garden, dumplings with goulash, omelette and spinach "Farinello Buon-Enrico", cakes with berries are just some of the many specialties of the refuge.

The descent takes place on the southern slope of Monte Cavone, on paths n.4 and 4A in the direction of Tires.

From here you can return comfortably to the starting point at the Laghetto di Fiè with the hiking bus.
The excursion can also be walked in the opposite direction.
