The wild valleys – Total hike about 3 hours – Light to Medium difficulty
A slighly longer hike through the amazing and quaintly Tschaminvalley and Grasleitenvalley to finally arrive to the Grasleitenhùtte.
Drive from the village Tiers towards St. Zyprian. On the left side along the street you will find the parking space close to Weißlahnbad (ca. 1150m). Park the car and start your hike on the natural mountain road towards the restaurant Tschaminschwaige (1173m). Follow the signs „Grasleitenhùtte“ and the mark number 3 and you will walk through the impressive and romantic Tschaminvalley until you get to the first and second valley opening (glade).
Follow the mark number 3A which will lead you directly to the Grasleitenhùtte (2165m).
You can walk back to the starting point via the same way (about 2.3 hours) or you can choose the alternative route over the Molignonpass (about 4.30 hours).
In this case you start your steep hike from the Grasleitenhùtte towards the rocky glaciar arena where you can enjoy the amazing panorama view over the 2 valleys that meet at this point (Grasleitenpass and Molignonpass).
On the left side you will find a long, steep passage towards the mountainhut Tierser Alpl. Here you can rest for a while in the cozy hut/restaurant, before you continue via the Bàrenloch towards the Tschamintal and return to the initial parking space.
